What’s happening at Eventi-x?

We are 3 quarter of the way through the year and already 2018 has seen exciting changes and positive developments at Eventi-X Group. Back in the spring, we launched our new website. Featuring more information in a user-friendly format and including our new blog page, aimed at keeping our clients informed on the latest projects we have undertaken and the constantly evolving technology of the events industry.

This year has also seen the implementation of our green vision program. Built on the foundations of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. As a company, we are committed to the wellbeing of both economic and ecological issues and we are waging war against CO2 emissions. We have a 3-year plan to manage our waste and dramatically reduce our carbon footprint, by constantly working with our suppliers to develop energy efficient audiovisual systems capable of producing quality of the highest possible levels whilst enabling us to maintain our goal of sustainability.

2018 has also seen us invest more time and money in research and development than in any previous year in our history. We are in a time of unprecedented change in our industry. Companies need to adapt and evolve to the ever-changing needs of their customers. Obviously, Innovation isn’t solely represented by new devices, ideas or methods, but also by the process of uncovering new ways to do things.

And now we are delighted to announce that our new purpose-built warehouse is nearing completion and on schedule for the planned October opening. This facility will give us increased capacity to store an even broader range of state-of-the-art audiovisual systems and also increase our efficiency.

So, fantastic news for you, our client. Greater choice, greater efficiency from a company who care about the future.

The importance of innovation and the critical role of R & D

Over the last few years the words ‘Innovation’ and ‘Research & Development’ have become increasingly important in the world of technology-related industries.
I take it you are all familiar with these words?
Indeed, many communication industry gurus have written often lengthy and confusing articles offering varied descriptions of the subject. Articles which, for many people, are difficult to understand.
Obviously, the internet gives us the opportunity to discover a lot of interpretations of both ‘Innovation’ and ‘Research & Development’. Here are two classic examples of the standard definitions.

“In all of the definitions used for innovation, changing or improvement of the process or product are common. Innovation is a process that begins with an introduction to plan an idea and will become a new function and so it’s different from creation.”

Research and Development play a critical role in the innovation process. It’s essentially an investment in technology and future capabilities which is transformed into new products, processes, and services.”

However, we would like to put our own slant on their meanings. Here at Eventi-x, we don’t have a limitless budget, but we are totally focused on the power of creativity and its ability to ensure we deliver work of the highest quality.
Sure, we are a small company, but we believe in the power of our knowledge, especially in the synergy of our team. At the same time, we like to think creatively and constantly improve our knowledge of the most important methods of communications, to build the future steps of our success.

Innovation at Eventi-X means change. We view change as an opportunity, not a threat.
We innovate by constantly updating and increasing our range of state of the art audiovisual equipment.
We innovate by taking two or more things we already have and putting them together in a different way.
We innovate not by thinking out of the box, at Eventi-X we get rid of the box.
We believe there’s a better way to do it … so we find it.

In 2018 Eventi-X have invested more in Research and Development and the right people to carry out that R & D than at any time in our history. We work with the best manufacturers in the industry and by doing so ultimately ensure our customers receive a great level of service and an amazing experience which we know will stay with them long after the event has ended.

Innovation has nothing to do with how many R & D dollars you have. When Apple came up with the Mac, IBM was spending at least 100 times more on R & D.
It’s not about money. It’s about the people you have, how you’re led, and how much you get it.

Linea Verde – 5 days filming in Abruzzo

July 10th -14th 2018 “Linea Verde” – RAI 1

Last week, 3 of our camera crews, directed by Emilia Mastroianni spent 5 days filming in the beautiful hill towns of Villalago and  Scanno in the Abruzzo region.
The programme, “Linea Verde’, is one of the longest running shows on the RAI network, presenting the traditions of local food from some of Italy’s small rural communities.
The famous TV journalist and award-winning cookery writer, Federica De Denaro hosts this part of the show and takes the viewer from the farms and gardens, to the markets and restaurant tables of the region.
Despite the logistical issues caused by the remoteness of these two isolated towns it was great to shoot this iconic Italian TV show in such a spectacularly beautiful part of the country.
